The Ultrasound Research Core Laboratory (ULTRA) provides state-of-the-art lung and point-of-care ultrasound imaging interpretation and analysis. ULTRA is an academically oriented core imaging laboratory with the mission to provide high-quality quantitative and qualitative ultrasound image analyses for academically and scientifically important research investigations.

 

The Ultrasound Research Core Laboratory’s Director, Dr. Elke Platz, is a Harvard faculty, board-certified, ultrasound fellowship trained emergency physician with specific expertise in point-of-care ultrasonography. She is a leading expert in lung ultrasound measures, having investigated this application in patients with or at risk for heart failure.
